Method Sound in Costa Mesa offers custom-installed laser and radar detector systems. For over 10 years at this location, our team has built a reputation of designing and building the best- performing, most-reliable and easiest-to-service solutions in Southern California. Most people know that speeding tickets are all about revenue, and just one can be a significant expense in time and money lost. Our team will help you avoid that scenario.
What Makes a Method Sound Laser and Radar Detector Unique
While there are multiple brands of products on the market, and some are better than others, the design and integration of the final product will ultimately have the largest effect on performance. We carefully balance the stealth of the installation against the performance so it doesn’t just look good, it will work when you need it. Performance that you can count on at the critical moment is key to the successful integration of a radar and laser system in your vehicle. In all our years of installing these systems, our clients have never reported back to us that one of our systems failed to protect them. Most of our repeat business in this category is from clients who already had one of our systems in another car and enjoyed it. Some of it also comes from a referral from a dealership or mechanic who has seen our work and noticed how the product was installed in a factory-serviceable manner.
Dirty Little Secret
A little secret in our industry is that most of the sensors we are installing do not have disconnects for routine service work. You can deal with that problem later when and if it ever comes up, but your client might be inconvenienced. Even worse, a sensor might get disconnected during the service visit without it being repaired. And that is just one consideration. To perform a factory-grade installation at Method Sound, we use automotive-grade waterproof quick disconnects, custom brackets with threaded mounting hardware and factory harness protective tape and loom. Even waterproof factory rubber grommets and a custom built laser alignment jig are used to ensure the sensors are mounted level and straight. Trust us, these are not the standards being used in our industry. But given the choice, most clients will choose to have it done right so that it performs properly and lasts a long time.
